Lubbock or Leave it.

We spent the majority of Labor Day weekend in Lubbock for a wedding, celebrating with friends and old roommates. Most of them had not had the pleasure of meeting HD. We were excited for all of them to enjoy the experience. It was a fast and furious weekend, but fun had by all!
"Okay Dad, I've got shotgun, let's go!"

Our intentions were to leave later Friday night so Hudson would sleep the majority of the ride. Hudson, on the other hand, had different plans. He DID NOT want to go to sleep and DID NOT want to be in his car seat. After I had had enough crying and fussing we pulled over so he could "hang with dad." After our little detour all was well and he immediately went to sleep.
"Hey, it's pretty cool up here!"
Kate- Class of 2005, Matt- Class of 2006, Hudson- Class of 2031. Yikes.
At the wedding...
The fam.
"Dad, why are you so weird? Good thing I'm half Mom too." Me and my very handsome baby boy.
"Hey Beau, I like to dance too, can you show me some of your moves?"
"You're pretty Amanda, can I have your glasses? PLEEEEEZE!"
"See Roommate Rachel I can smile silly like you too!"

These are a few of my favorite things....

Grammie (Pam, MIL, Matt's mom) SO nicely let me borrow her fancy, shmancy camera over the weekend. Needless to say... I took advantage of the opportunity and snapped a few pics.
ENJOY!!!This is one happy baby!
Look at those baby blues, just like his dad!
I think this is my FAVORITE picture. He's an angel!
Check out that HAIR!!! Yep... I spiked it. I couldn't help myself.
This is my 2nd favorite picture. Hudson looks so precious and innocent (which he IS, of course). We played in the yard Saturday afternoon. Hudson had his first taste of grass. He didn't seem to mind the taste. Hudson's also laying on his oh-so-gorgeous quilt BaBa made him (Hudson's great-grandmother, Matt's grandmother).
A little lovin' from Ginger.
Surprisingly, for those of you who know Ginger, she and Hudson have become BFF. Every morning Ginger comes with me to get Hudson up for the day and I put Ginger in his crib to greet him with his morning kisses. She really loves this slobbery baby.
Of ALL the toys I take for Hudson to play with when we swim he ALWAYS goes for the bowls. No more toys for this baby, pots and pans it is!
Splishin' and a splashin', this one loves the water!
Ok, ok- now this really is my favorite picture. I L.O.V.E this baby boy! He melts my heart with every smile!

Mom loves you HD!

7 Month Stud!

Why dads (Matt) should NOT feed their babies (HD)...

I think Matt purposely let Hudson smother his face (and the rest of his body) in food so that I would never let him feed Hudson again. It worked.
How in the WORLD does baby food get on your ankle? That's not normal.
The end result.... one happy (and dirty) baby.

Life's a beach!

We spent most of last week in Surfside with the family. It was Hudson's first trip to the beach. I thought he would be really into the water since we swim so much, and the sand since he's really into different textures. Well... I was wrong, about both. O well, maybe next year.
Nonetheless, we had a great time at the beach.

Random shots of cuteness!

Rockin' out the exersaucer!!!
"Mom, why do you insist on taking pictures of me ALL the time???"
Lovin' his first bubble bath and all his toys!
"Ooo camera... give me that!"
Eating is exhausting. Hudson had to take a nap mid meal. Must be nice.
Bath time in the sink, fun!
