FINALLY home!

We've finally made it home! It was a long night, and day! Hudson woke up about every 3 1/2- 4 hours last night very hungry and hurting! He's eating really well now, back to his old self- Mr. Pigglet! We were discharged at about 7:30am this morning, but we had to wait to see his plastic surgeon and speech pathologist one last time. The speech pathologist came in about 8:30am, gave him the once over and said see ya in 4 months! The nurses came and went. By 10:00am, I finally asked a nurse where the surgeon was and found out he was still in another surgery and was coming by afterwards. Lunch time was near and we decided to go ahead and eat since we'd already missed breakfast thinking we were leaving. It was finally 2pm and the surgeon's assistant walked by our room and said "You're still here?" Of course we said "Yes... we're waiting for Dr. Genecov." Well, apparently someone forgot to tell us Dr. Genecov had an emergency and had to leave so he was not going to be able to see us. Wonderful. We were at the hospital an additional 5 hours for NO reason! O well, at least we're finally home. Hudson is doing very well and things are looking good! Poor baby has to sleep with his No Nose on. It doesn't look very comfortable, but I promise he's sleepin' good! Thanks again to everyone who was praying for us and the surgeons. I am SO thankful the day is behind us. It was hard, but God's strength is stronger!
Next stop... we have a follow up appointment in one week to remove the few stitches at the base of his nose and top of his lip. Most likely his next surgery will be in early August (the date is determined by his weight, and as you can see he's not hurting by any means!). His palate surgery will be longer and more intense, but we can get through it!
Baby is sleeping and so should I!
Good night!
